I use the Commuter backpack in "Sand" as my diaper bag currently and it is amazing. I cannot go a day without wearing it, sometimes I have to force myself to take a smaller purse if I'm just going out by myself without the babies lol. I love all the pockets inside and outside, there are so many!!! Makes it so simple to pack everything in there that you could think of for little ones on the go, plus it looks sleek and snazzy and not like a regular, obvious "diaper bag" but more like a classy woman's large purse. The gold hardware is eye popping and matches the Sand colour perfectly. I like the pink colour of all the inner pockets and how soft the straps are on my shoulders, I was worried as it was a leather bag that it would be uncomfortable or not stretchy but I was gladly mistaken. I also got the flower charm to add to the backpack and it goes so beautifully!!

This bag is great. Holds more than I thought. Very soft material. Like butter. Made excellent! Love the hybrid handles as a backpack or shoulder strap.

It's even better than I had expected! It fits my large laptop and everything else I need for work - even when travelling. It's gorgeous and comfortable to wear.

The backpack is nice and roomy. It did have a fishy odor inside. Don’t believe this is the norm. Decided to air out for a couple of days. Since the odor disappeared, I decided to keep it. Definitely a great travel bag.

Commuter Backpack Sand

I have bought the Commuter Backpack in March 2023. Not even a year of use (on top of that I use it only twice a week!) the zipper has splitted twice and unfortunatly Poppy and Peonies can't do anything because it's been more than 90 days. I've never paid that much for a bag and honeslty the quality is very poor. Very disappointed about the quality as my 'cheaper' bags are all of better quality.

I was searching for a new work bag and came across this one and I love it! Plenty of room for my MacBook Air and iPad, plus a venti Starbucks cup, charger, wallet, all the usual stuff. The colour is so pretty and the padded straps make it comfortable to tote around. My only complaint is due to the construction, the bag opening is horizontal and doesn't open super wide, so it can be hard to see to the bottom or find things easily sometimes. Overall very happy with my first P&P purchase!

An amazing bag that i get so many compliments on..as a nurse i bring it to work daily and it holds everything i need .highly recommend it as well as any of poppy and peonies products..i have many..

The commuter backpack is a great bag! It is durable, easy to carry 2 different ways, and looks great for the office. I get so many compliments on my blush color.

I bought this backpack after much thought on all the different options. It is great for taking to work and on holiday.

the vegan leather is incredibly soft and pretty in person!

I have been using my commuter backpack for a diaper bag for my 1 year old for a little over a month and absolutely love it. I did originally order the lullaby diaper bag but found it to be too large for what I needed for my toddler and this was a great switch. I love the camel colour and it’s a colour my husband can wear and it not scream “diaper bag”. The straps are also comfortable to wear. I really love my new bag and can definitely it use after I’m done in the diaper stage for day trips with the family.

It is a gorgeous bag that is roomy and so soft. I would recommend this 100%!

I finally pulled the trigger and got the commuter backpack after 1.5 years of contemplating. I loved the cognac but when the camel came out, I loved the softer effect of it (although I had a hard time choosing between sand and camel). The colour is exactly as shown on the website. I have zero regrets about this backpack and wish I didn't wait the 1.5 years!! The material is buttery soft and wellmade. I've read reviews about bad stitching but I had no issues at all with mine. You can easily clean it by wiping it. The interior is well made and a nice pretty pink. Love that it's light so you can easily look for what you need in there. The water bottle pocket is such a game changer, it fits my large Owala bottle easily (not just for Stanley's!). The multiple organization pockets inside are perfect for loose bits. The exterior pockets are all very useful for easy access. You will need two hands to close the main zipper compartment as the bag is soft (not so soft that it has zero structure). Fits my 15" laptop with no issues. I have had so many compliments already. I have been using it for work and on the weekend for family outings. Will be bringing this to travel over the summer as well. Hoping this will hold up well in the long run!

I love this bag so much but within a week the leather started to crack on the straps and im afraid it wont hold up to the daily use which is so disappointing bc i have another bag from the same company and absolutely love it!!

So many compartments and pockets, love how stylish it looks.

Room for all of my office stuff and will make a great bad for travelling.

The quality is absolutely amazing so soft, durable. I now have three bags, the side pouch, the travel purse, and the backpack and I’m absolutely loving it.

I really love my backpack, unfortunately it arrived with a hole in the leather on the very front. I immediately contacted customer service, and it’s been over two weeks with no response. Hopefully I hear from them soon after the holidays, and if I do I’ll update this review.

I was debating getting this bag for so long! I looked at countless leather backpacks and none compared to the elegant look or perfect size of the one that Poppy & Peonies has available. I am a law school student and it is the perfect backpack for stylish but functional and carries all my stuff without any issues. I have been using it for a few weeks now and am so happy I made this purchase!

I just got this backpack and am loving it. It is sturdy, roomy and very comfortable to carry, both on my back and with the shoulder strap. I love having that versatility. It is a great work bag, and for work travel, it can't be beat. It fits perfectly under a plane seat, so can be used as your personal item. All the exterior pockets make it easy to grab essentials on the fly, and the luggage strap really makes airports a breeze.

I was looking for a work bag that was both professional and practical. I came across the commuter backpack and fell in love. It is extremely spacious, comfortable to wear, and has a ton of pockets (which is important!). I’m so happy with my purchase.

I was eyeing this backpack for a long time and I am so glad that I finally grabbed one for myself. It is a great travel bag, and fits great under the seat on airplanes. It is also stylish work bag to carry things in. I love how versatile is and love the color options!

Great bag for the office it can fit all the essentials. Only thing I would have loved to see is a pen holder.

I have to admit that before i purchased the commuter i was very skeptical. I read a lot of very good and some bad reviews and I wasn’t sure what to expect. My main concerns were durability, width of the straps, and space. So far the bag has proven to be durable and can hold a decent amount of weight! The straps seem thin but they are cushioned and very comfortable so that was a nice surprise (most of the reviews i read online that mentioned the straps said they were too thin but I find them very comfortable.) I do wish that I could properly fit my lunch in the bag but I traded my tupper ware for a large mason jar and I place it in the Stanley cup holder and voila! Problem solved! I hope a year or two from now i still love this bag as much as I do now!!

I already have the Go-getter Tote from P&P but needed something made of more pliable material to be able to fit it within the top case of my Vespa. The backpack is a perfect fit (laid down)! I can easily fit a 13” laptop, notebooks, glasses case, wallet and my lunch in this bag with some room to spare. And to be honest it’s been better for me to wear into the office- distributing the weight of my bag across both shoulders vs. one. Highly recommend this backpack if you’re considering it. For the organization, quality and price - it can’t be beat!

This bag is the perfect size!!! I love all the compartments and that everything has a spot. I stay organized and can grab what I need, when I need it.

I'd been looking for a new work bag for ages- something to fit a laptop, purse, pencil case and a lot of pockets. Basically an office in a bag. This bag certainly has everything! I love the laptop sleeve pocket and the front zippered pocket the best. The light pink fabric on the inside is great- easy to find everything inside. The only downside I've found so far is I wish the straps had a couple more notches so the backpack could be snug on my bag- I find it sags very slightly because I can't get the straps small enough. Otherwise, great bag! Hopefully it holds up for many years.

Searched for a backpack that could handle the tough travel sports schedule we had coming this summer. It needed to be able to carry everything we needed for the day at tournaments and double as my personal item when flying. Perfect so far. Slightly larger than an average backpack, my laptop and everything I may just need fits perfect. I know this is labeled as a baby item, but I picked it because of the large top opening. Loving it!

Amazing and exactly what I was looking for.. I am a mom of two but they are 10 and 8 and it’s still incredible for day outings.

I am loving the amount of pockets and organisation of the bag. Makes it easier to find smaller things and has so much space so I can pack plenty for both my newborn and toddler. Looks great quality as well.

It was a gift to my daughter. She absolutely loves it. Hasn’t used it yet, but is packing it for when baby comes. Due date August. I wanted to get blush, but figured grey was best if husband is carrying it. It does have a blush interior.

I was going back and forth on what I wanted to get for my first corporate job in the city. I initially got the Beis wicked backpack for the aesthetics but eventually, it really didn’t fit all of my needs. I did not like how I had to carry my extra pair of shoes and lunchbox. Then I happened to find out that Poppy & Peonies came out with a diaper backpack. I thought that it would look too bulky but after using it for about a month or two.. it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. It literally fits everything and there are so many pockets I can utilize. So glad I made this my backpack!! Only downfall is that I noticed there was a small rip underneath my straps.. maybe it came like that or it ripped somehow. Hoping that it lasts long!

I have a P&P belt bag - have used and abused it for over a year. My second baby was born in March 2025, the week before this bag launched. Kismet!

It is huge (in a good way) offers tons of organization, and is extremely well made. Bottom feet! Wipeable! Amazing smooth zippers! I bought a more expensive bag at first and knew it was NOT going to hold up. This thing is going to stand the test of time.

Tweaks for future: fix the diaper mat - it’s way too bulky. Subbed my old one, no biggie. Consider subbing out the bottle bag for either an interior small matching pouch (mom’s stuff?) or an insulated pocket so it can grow into toddler hood (hello, cheese sticks!).

All in all 10/10 recommend (and I already have)!! Keep up the great work!

Bought it for my daughter-in-law, she loves it!

This backpack is one of my favourite purchases since becoming a mom. Every detail it comes with is so functional and the bag itself is beautiful. I have 3 kids so having a diaper backpack that was big enough to fit baby stuff, but also all the toddler snacks under the sun was tricky. The should strap, genius, sometimes that extra few seconds you need to put a backpack on properly are seconds you don’t have with multiple kids. Honestly well done this bag is perfection.

It is a gift for our daughter. She loves poppy and peonies and is excited to use this with her second son who is arriving soon.

P&P was recommended to me by my neighbour. I have always preferred backpack purses. I tried the Sling Bag, Roamer, and even the Sidekick and nothing was big enough and just wasn’t the same as the traditional two strap backpack.
When the on the fly mini backpack dropped, I bought it right away and absolutely love it. Holds everything I want and is very comfortable. Love all the pockets and I love the additional shoulder strap. I would totally recommend it and I might have to buy another as backup.
Only 1 suggestion, it needs a key leash.

On The Fly Mini Backpack Cognac

Love it!!! It has the best pockets and enough space for me.

I absolutely LOVE this bag! My latest addition to my P&P collection didn’t disappoint. It’s got pockets for all my essentials plus room for a lot more. Its sleek design allows me to wear it like a backpack or carry it by its handle. I ordered an extender so I had the ability to wear it on my shoulder. The only thing I would change about this bag is the ability to detach the backpack straps and tuck them away in a pocket somewhere. Currently you can do this but there’s to much excess strap attached to the bag where the other end of the buckle is and looks out of place. Doesn’t stop me from loving this bag any less though! It’s my “go to” bag for sure!

Great little backpack for daily use. Zippers are well made and soft to touch. Only drawback is there is no spot for coins-my last designer mini backpack had a spot for coins.
