I have literally been searching for three years for the perfect sling/**** pack bag. I finally found it in the Poppies and Peonies Sidekick bag. With so many colours to choose from the berry called out to me. It is the PERFECT bag for me. Room for my phone, my wallet, my hair brush, my lipgloss and even my sunglasses!!!! I love this bag the only thing I wish it had was a few more pockets so I can put my AirPods, lipgloss in instead of just throwing it in the bottom but still not a deal breaker. I did have an issue with the first bag I received as the stitches fell out but contacted support and they were beyond fantastic and helpful and replaced it no problem. I will be ordering more 100%

I needed a crossover bag for my trip to Europe this summer. This is the perfect bag! It has enough space to hold my necessities like my wallet, sunglasses, makeup and more. Plus, it will keep my belongings safe from pickpocketers. I’m already thinking of purchasing another sidekick in camel. I absolutely love this bag!

This bag is amazing! Everything you need fits in the bag and this bag is fat proof! I always struggle to find a nice/cute crossbody bag but the strap is always to short. Not with this bag because of the extender! You really deserve a big big compliment for this idea and this really nice that the extender is free. You really include everybody with this, I am a big fan!

Great purse holds quite a bit of stuff

I have this purse in 3 colors so far! So cute, functional and comfortable to use. I’ve referred several friends that also have this in bag in multiple colors! The eclipse is also phenomenal. Please restock the sidekick in dark gray soon and make the eclipse in dark gray too!

I was going to return the item, but decided to keep instead. I'm not in love with the color, but it will do for the summer. I do wish the "accent details" were silver and not gold as I think gold is over rated. The functionality is good; I do find it a tad "bulky" when across body in the front. Overall - it works and will be good for the summer.

Perfect size, love the key strap inside so that I can always locate them quickly, only thing I wish is that there were more card holders sewn in, but! Guess that's why they have a seperate wallet for that 😊 very happy with my purchase

I really love my backpack, unfortunately it arrived with a hole in the leather on the very front. I immediately contacted customer service, and it’s been over two weeks with no response. Hopefully I hear from them soon after the holidays, and if I do I’ll update this review.

I was debating getting this bag for so long! I looked at countless leather backpacks and none compared to the elegant look or perfect size of the one that Poppy & Peonies has available. I am a law school student and it is the perfect backpack for stylish but functional and carries all my stuff without any issues. I am so happy with my purchase of the Downtown Crossbody purse! It is the perfect size and gives you two options for handles! My very first purchase but definitely not my last. Obsessed with the color and the quality. One of the best vegan bags I’ve come across. My only thing is as a short girl the crossbody straps are at shortest I can make them and it’s almost still too long.

Not to sound like Goldilocks, but I feel like I have spent my 50 years of life looking for the perfect bag and every bag up to this point has fallen short - too big, too small, too many pockets, not enough pockets, made of murder (leather, ew), boring colors, etc. And then I bought the Downtown Crossbody and I lived happily ever after. No, but seriously. This bag is L-I-F-E. It's sleek and stylish, holds everything I need and doesn't feel stuffed or have too much room leftover. I like that I can activate the bottom zipper to make it a little bigger if I need to and I also like that I can switch out the straps from over arm to crossbody (but I really really really love the over arm strap, it just sits in there so nicely).

I tend to wear a lot of black, so I opted for the Berry color to give me a pop of color and also it made me nostalgic for the Oxblood-colored Doc Martens of the early 90s. Sigh.

I get so many compliments from people when I take it out (which is always now, it's my new fave bag), and I plan to get at least one more color in this style as well as trying other styles since I appreciate the styling and quality of this brand so much. This bag is a must have for every closet!

DOWNTOWN CROSSBODY berry

I’ve gotten a lot of use out of my Downton bag in Berry. I really like the shorter handlle with it. it’s a good size for a wallet, keys, and. Few essential items.

The only thing I’d change is getting rid of the flap and having a top zipper. I find the zippered pouch flap is bulky and not very useful (gravity and a zipper on the bottom of the flap don’t mix well!)

I really like this wallet. I was hesitant at first about the change purse but I like it and it’s very cute. Quality made. I have bought three other products since ☺️

It’s the perfect size for me. I can move it to different bags and purses and have all my ID and money with me. The change purse is small but holds more than enough. I like that they have a bill slot as well.

I purchased the Margaux wallet in black to pair with my black sidekick in the regular size.
I’m a mom of young kids, so I need to have all the things in a throw and go bag. I typically use a card case when using a hip bag because they’re sleek and slim so I can fit more things like keys, phone, etc. in such a small bag.
I was replacing my old and worn hip bag and card case, and wanted an elevated matched set, and these were on my wishlist for a while.
While I absolutely love the quality and style of both the sidekick and the wallet, when I added all of my essentials: cards (~8), a couple of bills, and some change, it became quite thick and bulky, especially for use with the regular size sidekick.
When moderately loaded, it’s like the baseball steak of wallets. lol
In my daily use, I can fit the wallet, 2 lipsticks, lip pencil, a couple of hair ties, a spray hand sanitizer, and a couple of other small/sample sized items. That’s it.

I cannot fit my phone and/or keys in the sidekick when using this wallet, so I have to wear something with pockets, defeating the purpose of a handy hip bag.
The wallet takes up the majority of the capacity, and I have to take it right out whenever I have to get to anything else.

Again, this would be perfectly fine for use with another bag with larger capacity, but if you are exclusively wearing the sidekick as your daily purse, I would recommend using something slimmer for cards and cash, and just using a small coin pouch (or just throw your coins in the inner zipper pocket of the sidekick).
I’ll likely switch back to a card case style and keep the Margaux for use if/when I use a larger handbag or tote.
