I purchased the Margaux wallet in black to pair with my black sidekick in the regular size.
I’m a mom of young kids, so I need to have all the things in a throw and go bag. I typically use a card case when using a hip bag because they’re sleek and slim so I can fit more things like keys, phone, etc. in such a small bag.
I was replacing my old and worn hip bag and card case, and wanted an elevated matched set, and these were on my wishlist for a while.
While I absolutely love the quality and style of both the sidekick and the wallet, when I added all of my essentials: cards (~8), a couple of bills, and some change, it became quite thick and bulky, especially for use with the regular size sidekick.
When moderately loaded, it’s like the baseball steak of wallets. lol
In my daily use, I can fit the wallet, 2 lipsticks, lip pencil, a couple of hair ties, a spray hand sanitizer, and a couple of other small/sample sized items. That’s it.

I cannot fit my phone and/or keys in the sidekick when using this wallet, so I have to wear something with pockets, defeating the purpose of a handy hip bag.
The wallet takes up the majority of the capacity, and I have to take it right out whenever I have to get to anything else.

Again, this would be perfectly fine for use with another bag with larger capacity, but if you are exclusively wearing the sidekick as your daily purse, I would recommend using something slimmer for cards and cash, and just using a small coin pouch (or just throw your coins in the inner zipper pocket of the sidekick).
I’ll likely switch back to a card case style and keep the Margaux for use if/when I use a larger handbag or tote.

5 stars for quality and style.
3 stars for user friendliness and space saving design.
4 stars overall.

Unfortunately this wallet is too bulky for the eclipse crossbody bag I also purchased.(even though in its description it says it fits all bags.) I don’t have it chalk a block full and still it’s hard to do up. Love the color… that’s about it.

Super cute, great size for my daily use, and love that it has a zippered compartment.
I’ve forever been a huge wallet girl (coming from the era of massive purses haha), but I’ve been scaling back my wallet size and this is great for me. Still enough room for the necessary cards, but not too big.

I love it! It holds my cards, cash, and about 20$ in coins(Canadian, toonies and loonies). Its not heavy, i forget theres that much change! The colour is beautiful. Its the perfect wallet I’ve always wanted!

Snap closure

The quality of the finish of the wallet is beautiful but the snap closure does not stay shut using only a magnet.

Pretty but poorly designed

Love the color, the card slots and the compartments.... But the closure leaves a lot to be desired. When I throw things in my wallet, such as keys, it often pops the wallet open as the closure clasp is inside the wallet and not strong enough to keep the wallet closed when something lands on the clasp. Most wallets of this style have the closure wrapping around to the outside instead, which is a much more practical design. See pictures. Live and learn. Agree with other reviewers that the color in some lighting does look much more like gold than rose gold; personally I like the color but I can see why others might be disappointed.

In person this looks more like a gold than rose gold. Definetly not as pink as photo above. Not the colour I was wanting. The hardware looks almost the same as the wallet.Disappointed customer service replied with what seemed like genaric response. Have liked other products and quality has been good and colours accurate in previous purchases.
